Why Steadfastly Exists
For many persecuted Christians, leaving their home country does not immediately bring safety or stability. They may spend months or years in a third country with limited legal status, inadequate housing, few employment opportunities, and an uncertain journey ahead.
Immigration and resettlement systems are complicated. Applications require extensive information, documentation, coordination, and persistence. Steadfastly helps bridge the gap between people seeking independence and the individuals, churches, attorneys, humanitarian organizations, and resettlement programs that may be able to assist them.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to each person—not only during a crisis, but throughout the difficult journey toward safety, stability, independence, and a new beginning.
The Steadfastly Team works diligently behind the scenes to support individuals and families seeking safety. To protect the privacy and security of those we serve—as well as our volunteers and partners—many team members choose not to be publicly identified. Our work is guided by discretion, trust, and a steadfast commitment to safeguarding every person involved.
Charity Starchenko serves as Steadfastly’s Fractional Executive Director, working closely with the advisory board and a dedicated team of volunteers. Her previous leadership roles include Director of Communications and Director of Missions and Outreach. She brings extensive knowledge and practical experience in supporting asylum seekers, immigrants, and displaced individuals.
